I was born in the US and I live in Denmark with my wife and our kids. Professionally I’ve been involved in technology in one way or another since 1999, when I put the University of Hawai`i’s student newspaper online for the first time.
Since then I’ve worked as a Unix System Administrator, a Web Developer, an IT Manager, and an ERP Project Manager. In early 2011 I came back “home” to web development and I’ve been loving it. I’m currently CTO at a Copenhagen-based software company.
I’ve had the great fortune to live in and visit many different places in my life. I grew up in the US in Michigan and lived in Arizona, Hawai`i and Oregon (with a few summers spent in South Carolina) before moving to Denmark in 2002. I’ve visited India four times and I’ve worked on projects in the UK, Mozambique, Dubai, Germany, Holland, France, Spain, Sweden, and Australia.
Our parents (particularly our father) instilled in us a love for the great outdoors. One of the things I miss most about the US is the raw wilderness, especially in the west. My two courses with the National Outdoor Leadership School were some of the most formative experiences of my youth.
I try to get out into fresh air every day, often on the golf course. When I have the time, I love to cook for family and friends.
